He was predeceased by: his wife Grace Katherine Powell; his daughter Katherine Danielle Powell Miller; and his brother Roger William Powell. He is survived by: his son Lance Christopher Powel of Mount Vernon, MD; and his grandchildren, Hayley Katherine Hawkes, Heather Miller, Ashley Miller, Lance Powell II and Kai Grace Powell.
