With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorcas Schneider of Fredericksburg, Texas, born in Silver City, New Mexico, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 19, 2025 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her husband Otto "Britton" Schneider, Jr.; her brothers, Thomas Forehand, Jr. and Francis "Frank" Forehand; her sisters-in-law, Clara Jung, Cora Danz and Ruby Turner; and her parents, Mary Lee and Thomas Forehand.
She is survived by: her parents-in-law, Amelia and Otto Schneider; her daughters, Janie (Frank Guynes) and Sherry (Dennis Durst); her grandchildren, Jared, Sarah Durst, Autumn, Ryan Buell and Jamie Guynes; her great grandchildren, Dally Kay Durst, Ashley Meador, Eleanor, Wyatt, Otto and Beaux Buell; and her nieces, Jo Forehand, Karen Smith, Peggy Brown and Vicki Turner.
Pallbearers: Jared Durst, Ryan Buell, Dennis Durst, Frank Guynes, Brandon Durst, Barrett Durst, Glenn Durst, and Duane Durst, In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to New Horizons, Votive Hospice, Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, or the charity of your choice.
