He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmon Grona and Olivia Klein Grona; his wife Audrey Grona; his son Marlin Wayne Grona; his parents-in-law, Alex and Mary Tatsch; his brother Delbert; his siblings-in-law, Imogene Grona and Raymond (Martha Tatsch); and his niece Connie Scott Jacobson.
He is survived by: his daughter Brenda Beaty (Trey Field) of Kerrville; and his grandson Cole Grona of Fredericksburg. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews.
