He was predeceased by : his parents, Marie Slater and Jack Slater. He is survived by : his wife Sandra Slater; his daughter Leia McKinnon (Ross McKinnon); his siblings, Betty Powell (Gary Powell) and Jack Slater (Karen Slater); and his grandchildren, Connor McKinnon and Kate McKinnon. He is also survived by nephew and niece; great nephew and nieces.
