He is survived by: his wife Sarah Powell Malec; his children, Charles Malec of Princeton, TX and Mariah Malec of Fredericksburg, TX; and his brother J. Michael Malec of Albany, NY.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
