She was predeceased by: her parents, Estella Lemmons and Alonzo Harrison; her daughter Edna Strauther; her siblings, Willie Sidney, Dorothy DeVaughn, Sam Farris, Rafael Partain and Howard Harrison; her grandson Rayshaun Randon; and her son-in-law John Henry Alston, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter Jeanetta Alston of Freeport, TX; her sisters, Bertha Edison of Houston, TX, Linda Griggs of Rosharon, TX and Earnestine Bailey of Los Angeles, CA; and her close friends, Mary Ann Sanders of Freeport, TX and Carolyn Johnson of Freeport, TX. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dixon Funeral Home-Angleton (2025 E Mulberry St, Angleton, TX 77515). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Jerusalem Baptist Church (1615 Skinner St, Freeport, TX 77541).
