She was predeceased by: her parents, Guadalupe Perez and Amalia Perez; her husband Cresencio S. "Chencho" Acevedo; her brother Ugo Perez; and her granddaughter Amalia Grace Acevedo.
She is survived by: her children, Jorge Luis Acevedo of Freer, Texas, Cresencio Acevedo Jr. (Marisela) of Freer, Texas, Larry Joe Acevedo of Mesquite, Texas and Christy Rebecca Acevedo (Daniel Martinez) of Corpus Christi, Texas; her siblings, Erasmo Perez (Sandra) of Robstown, Texas and Janie Lerma (Rolando) of Freer, Texas; her grandchildren, Marc, Victoria of Madelyn, E. J., Malory, Daniel Jr., Desmond, Kaylah, Madison and Micah; and her great grandchildren, Kamila and A. J.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Garza Funeral Home (120 S Sun Ave, Freer, TX 78357). A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Garza Funeral Home - Freer (120 S Sun Ave, Freer, TX 78357). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (1500 S Duval Ave, Freer, TX 78357). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at the Hahl Memorial Cemetery.
