She was predeceased by: her parents, Israel Cervantez and Virginia Perez Cervantez; her son Joe Albert Mendoza; and her brothers, Samuel and Daniel Cervantez.
She is survived by: her husband Joe Mendoza of Friona; her children, Yolanda Martinez (Mauricio) of Friona, Elizabeth Romero (David) of Friona, Frances Hurwitz (Duane) of Duncan, Jesse Mendoza (Gina) of Rio Rancho, NM, Gilbert Mendoza (Michelle) of Elk Horn and Eddie Mendoza of Friona; and her siblings, John Cervantez of Lubbock and Ruth Rupp (Jim) of San Angelo. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
