With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Ray Michener in Frisco, Texas, born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 2, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Viola T. Roberson Michener of Shawnee and O. J. Michener of Handley; and his siblings, LeRoy Michener of Shawnee and Anna Sue Williams of Shawnee. He is survived by: his siblings, Eloise McEldowney of Oklahoma City and Harold Dean Michener of Middletown, Connecticut.; his wife Rose Michener of Plano; his children, John Michael Michener (Aurora) and Zoe of Frisco, Texas.; and his sister Clara Mae Michener Lafferty of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
