He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Bob" Percy Mooney (Bob) and Mildred Beatrice Mooney (Philpot); his parents-in-law, Guy Thomas Pasqualino and Anne Eleanor Pasqualino (Capone); and his brother Charles Mooney.

He is survived by: his daughters, Robyn Anne Delahunt (Robert) of Plano, Aimee Elizabeth Rodenroth (Greg) of McKinney and Shannon Marie Mooney; his friend Russell Crow of Frisco, Texas; his grandchildren, Ian Delahunt, Brandon Rodenroth, Tyson Rodenroth, Macey Delahunt, Sydney Rodenroth and Regan Delahunt; his granddaughter-in-law Amanda Vann; and his great grandchild Diam Rocha.

His constant hugs, cuddles, and kisses seemed to transcend the debilitating effects of Alzheimer's as indicated by her demonstrative reciprocation, despite her loss of memory and language.
