She was predeceased by: her parents, Otha Frank Whaley and Della Medie Robison; her husband Mike Dees; and her sisters, Modine Burritt and June Ragsdale.

She is survived by: her children, Dana Mills (Curtis) of Fritch, Damon Dees (Misti) of New Caney and Shelly Barbour of Fritch; her grandchildren, Amy Villasenor (Jesus), Lacey Farmer (Justin), Mallory Karins (Matt), Zackery Dees (Ashley), Brianna Dees, Krissi Mendez (Toby), William Dees (Ynancy), David Dees, Katy Burdick (Chanc), Jake Davis (Jesica) and Justin Davis (Savannah); her great grandchildren, Jayven, Amiyah, Lexi, Bryson, Easton, Rylan, Aiden, Tyke, Mason, Colt, Emma, Libbie, Jaylee, Wally, Addison, Avery, Kinsley and Paisley; her children, Steely and Emybr; and her brothers, Curtis Whaley (Debra) of Pearland and Kenneth Whaley (Linda) of Dallas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
