He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Hammond and Mary Alice Sheline Knight; and his brother Steve Knight. He is survived by: his children, Eric Knight (Sherry) of Phoenix, Arizona, Lori Knight-Crance (Rodney Crance) of Fruitvale and Kasi Bierl (Tim) of Fruitvale; his siblings, Bob Knight (Donna) of Pickton and Gail Moseley (Jack) of Stow, Ohio; and his grandchildren, Xavier Knight, Skylar Knight, Mitchell Klotz, Nicholas Klotz (Chelsea), Jayden Klotz, Christopher Williamson, Justin Crance (Gabby), Cody Crance (Taylor), Marissa Smith (Will), Tyler Bierl, Kody Bierl, Lucas Bierl and Madyson Bierl. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bartley Funeral Home (110 Main St, Lone Oak, TX 75453). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
