He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Tahaney and Katie Tahaney; his siblings, Tommy Tahaney, Pat Tahaney and Charlotte Warren; and his son Craig Tahaney.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Tahaney; his sons, Bryan Tahaney of Groves and Casey Tahaney (Sara) of Bridge City; his daughter-in-law Rhonda Mahaffey (Brandon) of Beaumont; his grandchildren, Craig Tahaney, II (Chance), Ashlin Harvey (Caitlin), Jacob Tahaney and Jillian Tahaney; and his brother Mickey Tahaney (Raquel) of Port Arthur.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Melancon Levingston Funeral Home - Groves (5601 39th St, Groves, TX 77619).
