With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charlie Hurst of Gainesville, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 19, 2025 at the age of 62. He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Ray Hurst and Judith Ann Hickey; his significant other Maria Torres; his brother Michael Hurst; and his grandparents, Archie, Noby Hurst and Bennie Holt.
He is survived by: his children, Anthony (Crystal Hurst) of Godley, TX, Brandi Hurst of Nacogdoches, TX, Brandon (Lindsey Hurst) of Ponder, TX and Delanie Hurst of Denton, TX; his grandchildren, Vivian, Evelyn of Godley, TX and Owen of Ponder, TX.; and his siblings, Steven Hurst (Jeannie) of Whitesboro, TX, Scott, Roxanne Hurst of San Antonio, TX and Kelly Cain (Hurst) of Gainesville, TX.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Carroll & Son Funeral Home (602 Lindsay St, Gainesville, TX 76240). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home (602 Lindsay St, Gainesville, TX 76240). A committal service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery (710 Fair Ave, Gainesville, TX 76240).
