We announce the death of Gregory James Neu (Gainesville, Texas), who passed away on October 15, 2026, at the age of 54. Gregory will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Gregory will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Gregory’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his father James Albert; his uncle James Gilbert; and his grandparents, Mary, C. E. Gilbert, Albert and Hazel Neu.
He is survived by: his mother Sylvia Helen Neu (Gilbert) of Gainesville; and his aunts, Elaine Hughes of Gainesville, Sherry Gilbert of San Antonio and Donna Deurmyer (Ron).
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery (710 Fair Ave, Gainesville, TX 76240).
