He was predeceased by: his parents, J. B. Barnes and Dolly Evelyn Barnes (Little); his wife Sharon D. Barnes; his daughter Carol Ann Marler; his son-in-law Everett Marler; and his sister Barbara Abbey.
He is survived by: his daughter Lynn; his son-in-law Charlie Haverkamp of Gainesville; his daughter Jana; his son-in-law Dan Fisher of Lindsay; his children, Kris Brown of Richardson and Paul; his daughter-in-law Niki Barnes of Denton; his sister Ina Lu Francis of Homosassa, FL; and his close friend Larry Cox. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
