We announce the death of William Earl Lemons in Gainesville, Texas, who passed away on September 14, 2026, at the age of 87. William will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Buster Frank and Clota Edith Lemons (Steele); his daughter-in-law Sara; and his grandson Jeremy. He is survived by: his wife Gynelle Lemons of Lake Kiowa, Texas; his children, Steve (Kathy Lemons) and Gayla (Roy Brewer); and his grandchildren, Josh (Yoriela Lemons), Jillian (Jordan Conley), Andrea (Jay Lambert), Cody (Whitney Brewer), Elizabeth (Logan Curtis) and Chisam (Megan Brewer). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Valley View Church of Christ (202 N McCubbin St, Valley View, TX 76272). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Mr. Lemons may be made to Hospice of Cooke County.
