She is survived by: her husband Eugene McAvin; her children, Christopher Thorstenson, Wyatt Thorstenson, Matthew McAvin and Emilie McAvin; her parents, Bruce Vanlerberghe and Susan Vanlerberghe; and her brother Jason Vanlerberghe.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home (2128 Broadway Avenue J, Galveston, TX 77550). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
