With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Manuela Martinez of Galveston, Texas, who passed away on April 16, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Regino Barrios and Guadalupe Barrios; her husband Martin Martinez Villarreal; and her son Heriberto Gutierrez. She is survived by : her children, Martin Martinez (Gina), Yolanda Martinez, Beatriz Rodriguez (Luis) and Rosa Martinez Velazquez (Carlos); her grandchildren, Jose Matinez (Mayra), Sergio Martinez (Laura), Saul Martinez (Katherine), Mariela Martinez (Jose), Samantha Garay (Felix), Adrian, Carlos, Jesus Velazquez, Ariana, Luis Rodriguez Jr., Bertha, Heriberto Jr. and Lee Gutierrez; and her great grandchildren, Lorena, Selena Martinez and Emery Garay.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carnes Brothers Funeral Home (1201 23rd St, Galveston, TX 77550). A rosary was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (1021 34th St, Galveston, TX 77550). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Calvary Cemetery (2506 65th St, Galveston, TX 77551).
