He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Ewing and Dorothy Cooper Smith. He is survived by: his wife Louise Vanek; his daughters, Stephanie Douga (Pete), Regina Myers (RD) and Glenna Fric (Jason); and his siblings, Gayle Gamon, Sissy Starlin (Johnnie Lee), Kirk Smith (Jane) and Butch Smith (Kayce). He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren.
