She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond Earl Murphy; and her parents, Gordon Rutledge and Ruth Phillips Bell. She is survived by: her children, Pattie Bethune, Raymond Murphy, Stephen Murphy and David Murphy (Thea); her grandchildren, Melissa Conklin, Andrea Simmons (Adam), David Bethune, Matt Murphy (Adria), Chris Murphy (Lucca) and Jason Murphy (Jordan); and her sister-in-law Ann Murphy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church - Garland (801 W Avenue D, Garland, TX 75040). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Rest Haven Memorial Park (2500 Hwy 66, Rockwall, TX 75087).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Garland Friendship House, or to a charity of choice.
