She was predeceased by: her parents, Buster Dave Kemp and Billie Claudine Nickerson; her stepfather Arthur G. Cross; her brother Ronald Eugene Kemp (Leavetta Ann Kemp); and her grandson Shannon Jackson.
She is survived by: her sons, David Earl Kemp of Providence Village and Robert D'Wayne Kemp, Sr. (Janis) of Cross Roads, Texas; her grandsons, Robert D. Kemp, Jr., Evan Halfacre-Weir, David Kemp, Joseph Kemp, Tony Perry and Joey Perry (Brandi); her great grandchildren, Dwayne Javari, Keanetta Breille Nicole, Jada Leanette, Joey Jermaine Jr. and Jackson Bryce; her adoptive son Tony DeAnthony; and her siblings, Patsy Cross-Cole (Lonnie) of Grand Prairie, Texas, Arthur Cross, Jr., Victor Cross, Sr., Rex Cross of Mineral Wells, Texas and Billy Cross of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by extended family includes uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews.
She was an avid supporter of UNCF, NAACP, Women and Equal Rights, Women in Ministry, Breast Cancer Awareness, and The American Heart Association.
