He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Thiele and Dienie Thiele of Perry; his in-laws, Lloyd and Irene "Ma" Miller; his brother Jack; and his nephew Darin Thiele.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Miller of Wylie, Texas; his children, Debra Sweet (Craig) of Wylie, Texas and Mark Thiele (Michelle) of Greencastle, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Jonathan Sweet (Lori) of Pullman, Washington, Daniel Sweet of Greenwich, Connecticut, Michael Sweet (Amanda) of Hutto, Texas, Megan Elmore (Jason) of Tampa, Florida and Paris Thiele of San Diego, California.; his great grandchildren, Logan, Allison, Addyson, Landon, Anniston, Annabelle and Luke; his siblings, Bill Thiele (Barbara) of Florida and Linda Boston (Ron) of Illinois; his sister-in-law Brenda Bonnett of Pittsfield, Illinois; and his nieces and nephews, Becky Aiken, Brent Bonnett, Kent Bonnett, Gina Harris (Randy), Greg Bonnett (Kim), Jody Koebler (Todd), Jake Bartlett (Tasha), Jackie Cuclich (Tom) and Jennifer Hoffman.
