She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, George William Hitt and Jean Elizabeth Whitley; and her children, Dawn Pennington, Bobbie Thomas (Bruce), Tracie Preston (Joe), Jake Wood (Michelle) and George Harlan (Melissa). She was also cherished by her 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
