He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos Dews and Mildred Scogin Dews (Scogin); his sister Jean Barnhart; his daughter Linda Dews Yarbrough; and his granddaughter Jessica Anne Ross.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Minter Dews; his children, Judy Dews Ross (Randy) and Carlos Lee "Barney" Dews (Antonino "Nino" Colapinto); his grandchildren, Shelli Hogan Brooks (Jeff) and Randy Carl Ross; his great grandchildren, Logan Clark (Dylan) and Hannah Clark McBride (Taylor); and his great great grandchildren, Jessa McBride and Levi McBride. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Laird Funeral Home (2116 South St, Nacogdoches, TX 75964). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
