She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Cantu and Maxyne Hickok Cantu. She is survived by: her husband Gary M. Nelson of San Marcos, TX; her son Mike Nelson (Lisa) of Round Rock, TX; her grandson Zachary Nelson (Peyton) of New Braunfels, TX; her children, James Hales, Daniel Hales and Sarah Jane Hales of Round Rock, TX; and her brother Rick Cantu (Vivian) of Corpus Christi, TX.. She is also survived by numerous Aunts, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Donations can be made in her name to the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter.
