He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ely; his children, Crissy Ely, Sarra Jarvis and Michael Ely; his siblings, Susan Monroe, Mark Ely and David Shaffer; his grandchildren, Aubrey Ely, Kaytlynn Lacy, Skie Jarvis and Layne Dotson-Ely; and his great grandchildren, Aspen Confer and Charmey Galloway.
