He was predeceased by : his parents, Lawton Nicholson and Dorothy Nicholson (Swinney); his grandparents, Boss and Bess Nicholson; and his son Thomas David Nicholson.

He is survived by : his wife Marieta Nicholson (Williams) of San Antonio; his daughter Julia; and his son-in-law Monty Ewing of Burleson.
