She was predeceased by: her parents, A. L. Williams and Iris Williams; her former husband William Banks (Bill); and her siblings, Felice Dye, Gairy Baker, LaVerne Watters and Maxine Moore.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas Backus (Tom); her daughter Angela Banks; her grandchildren, Shelby and Spenser; her great grandchild Kristin Banks Swisher (Charles); her brother A. L. Williams of Choudrant, LA; Piper Swisher. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Annette's memory to Faith in Action in Georgetown.
