We bid farewell to Bernice Jistel Kurtz of Georgetown, Texas, born in Milam, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 9, 2025 at the age of 95. Bernice touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond Kurtz of Monica's Catholic Church. She is survived by: her children, Ray Kurtz, Jr. of Temple and Diane Truitt (Clint) of Georgetown; and her grandchildren, Kristina Kurtz Alvarez (Bruce) of Elgin, William J. Herring (Dana) of Lago Vista and Amy Herring Schroeder (Christopher) of Canyon Lake. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Monica's Catholic Church (306 S Nolan Ave, Cameron, TX 76520). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Monica Cemetery Association or charity of your choice.
