It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cornelius Wesley Conklin (Georgetown, Texas), who passed away on August 29, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Radford Conklin and Elizabeth Swift Conklin; his son William Christopher (Chris); his siblings, William R Conklin, Jr., Thomas Conklin, Margaret Mazza, Anastasia Slapp, Shirley Hladik and Marian Makowski; and his granddaughter Samantha Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Conklin; his daughter Shirley Ann Smith; his brother-in-law Joe Slapp; his stepchildren, Donelle Ruthart (Gayle) and Scott Swain (Anne); his grandchildren, Travis Smith (Selenne), Shawn Conklin, Heather Rush (Codee) and Michael Conklin (Michelle); his stepgrandchildren, Jessica Ruthart, Jerad Ruthart, Christopher Ruthart (Kelsey) and Shelby Ann Farias (Cesar); his great grandchildren, Samantha, Jaxon Smith, Vivian, Lincoln and Paxton Rush; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Caleb, Lillian, Alyssa, Jacob, Harper, Celia and Kohen Ruthart.
