He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Gus Ilse and Alice Biels Ilse; his in-laws, Erich and Sydonia Domel; his brother-in-law Eugene Domel; and his nephew Eric Domel.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Ilse (Domel); his children, Kristy Vrabel (Ryan), Jordan Ilse (Cherie) and Kyle Ilse; his grandchildren, Braeden, Ross Vrabel, Greyson and Evan Ilse; his niece Sharon Domel; his cousin Glenda Biels Gebert (Leland); and also Tammy Elkins (Josh).
