He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thomas and Jessie Clifford Horton Dunn of Marshall; his siblings, Tommy, Buddy Dun and Ann Pirtle; and his stepson Scott Campbell.

He is survived by: his wife Verona "Ronny" Dunn; his sons, Edward Michael Dunn, Jr. (Paige), Scott Hardy Dunn (Tonya) and Patrick Noel Dunn; his stepchildren, Steve Campbell (Collen) and Shelly Hayes (Mark); and his grandchildren, Blake Adams, Taylor Adams, Morgan Schultz and Hunter Joseph Dunn.
