She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Howard and Ernestine Howard; her husband Bill Golson; her son Joe Golson; her son-in-law Robert Cabral; and her sisters, Rita Pennington and Almeta Frische.

She is survived by: her children, Vicki Cabral, Steven Golson and Tracy Underwood; her granddaughter Rachel Miller; her great grandchild Aleena Gomez; and her brother Robert Howard.

She maintained many lifelong friends from high school and attended many of her high school reunions up until Covid.

The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the American Breast Cancer Society in Eva Mae's honor.
