With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George Jefferson Collins Jr. of Georgetown, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 9, 2026 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Jefferson Collins, Sr. and Lena Nadine Waymire; his former wife Mary Cothran; his son Wade Collins; his grandson Cody Collins; his sister Joan Huff; and his niece Leslie Huff.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Collins; his son David; his daughter-in-law Shannon Collins of Spring, TX; his stepdaughters, Dr. Emily Hunter (Louis) of Waco, TX and Dr. Kat Watson (Drew Harvey) of Kingsville, TX; his grandchildren, Spencer Collins (Martiza Collins), Tucker Collins, Stephanie Collins, Megan Gamboa, Jacob Collins, Audrey Hunter, Andy Hunter, Adler Harvey and Liam Harvey; and his nephew Kyle Huff (Suzanne). He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild.
