He was predeceased by: his father James Steve Cannon Sr.; his wife Gwendolyn Lou Wright Cannon; his daughter Karen Deniese Cannon; his mother Kathryn Blondena Koehl Owens (Dena); his stepfather William Alexander Owens (Dub); his siblings, William Alexander Owens Jr. (Billy), Marjorie Lee Burkett (Margie) and Patricia Ann Sheffey (Pat); his brothers-in-law, Lawrence Toungate (Larry), William Wright (Bill), Harold Sheffey and Marvin Burkett; his nephew Tharon Anthony Black (Jason Odell Stephens); and his niece Melissa Deann Stephens.
He is survived by: his children, James Michael Cannon (Tammy) of Georgetown, TX and Lorrie Cannon Ashby (Kenny) of Bertram, TX; his grandchildren, Scott Faught (Emily), Kristin Parker (Dylan), Alan Faught and Rachel Eggleston (Sam); his great grandchildren, Charlie Eggleston and Charlotte Eggleston (Lottie); his sisters, Kathryn Elaine Guillory (Lee) and Karen Cannon Roebuck (Tom); and his siblings-in-law, Cheryl Toungate, Cindy Stephens and Justin Stephens. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
