He was predeceased by: his parents, Orliff Steen and Florence Adams Steen. He is survived by: his wife Jan; his children, Doug Steen (Paige), Debi Wallingford (Randy), Dan Steen (Dena) and Scott Laurinat (Kristin Bigham); his grandchildren, Logan, Landon, Tori, Olivia, Quinn, Aubrey, Journee and Dravyn; and his great grandchildren, Theo and Piper.

The family requests donations be made in his honor to the Shriners Children's Hospital in Galveston (815 Market St., Galveston, TX, 77550).
