He is survived by: his wife Anne Nabors; his grandchildren, Cynthia Ann Castle, Anna Claire, Blayne Pennartz and Catherine Leigh Weathers; his children, Robert M. Castle, III, Christine (Eva Ainsley), Christopher Howell, Jennifer Castle, Joshua Andrew, Julia Grace, Alyssa Joy, Timothy James and Sarah Elizabeth; his sister Cille; and his brother-in-law Jerry Horner. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Research.
