She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Muñiz and Francis L. Muñiz; her husband Candelario Zavala; her children, Jessie Zavala and Mary Esther Zavala; her siblings, Manuel Muñiz and Mikaela Muñiz; and her brother-in-law Alfonso C. Zavala.
She is survived by: her children, Janie Zavala, Gregory Zavala and Mary Alice Zavala; and her sisters, Lucy Bracamontez, Minnie Vasquez and Diane Cantu. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
