Janet McCartney Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on April 24, 2026, at the age of 79, Janet McCartney of Gholson, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyd Terry and Ardella Terry (Eubank); and her brother-in-law Jerrell Scott. She is survived by: her husband Larry Joe McCartney of Gholson; her sons, Larry McCartney (Mary) of Flat, Jason McCartney (Heather) of West and Gary McCartney (Missy) of West; her grandchildren, Brandon McCartney, Bradley McCartney, Tristan McCartney and Cameron McCartney; her great grandchildren, Addison McCartney, Lawson McCartney, Knoxx McCartney, Collins McCartney and Gus McCartney; and her siblings, Norman Terry (Linda), Doris Dillon (Danny) and Paulette Scott. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gholson Cemetery Association.
