It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wanda Black of Gholson, Texas, born in Waco, Texas, who passed away on October 27, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Albert Connally and Minnie Connally (Findley); her spouse Neill Black; her daughter Leta Thompson; her son-in-law Terry Shoemaker; her brothers, James Connally, David Connally and Elwin Connally; her sister-in-law Bobbie Sanders; and her granddaughter Denise Thompson.

She is survived by : her daughters, Marsha Hahn (Ronnie) of Gholson, Shelly Wilson (Larry) of Fairfield and Teresa Shoemaker Zinke of Temple; her son-in-law Edward McCafferty, Jr. of Gholson; her grandchildren, Greg Thompson, Steven Thompson, Cristie Thigpen, Stacy Slone, Marcus Wilson, Megan Bartlett (DJ), Luke Shoemaker (Ashley) and Katie Cramer (Patrick); her great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Zachary, Tyler, Brody, Dodger, Laker, Brayden, Jackson, Sophie, Piper and Barron; and her sisters-in-law, Debbie Connally, Frances Connally, Marsha Connally and Mary Rich. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gholson Volunteer Fire Department.
