He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Kovar and Lydia Mae Kovar (Alcorn); his siblings, Walter "Buster" Kovar, Robert "Bob" Kovar, Herman "Ham" Kovar and Bernice Longoria; and his great grandchild Braeden Estes.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Kovar (Ihlo) of Giddings; his sons, Daniel Kovar of Manheim and Wendel Kovar of Manheim; his grandchildren, Krystal Estes (Dustin), Clarissa Kovar of Lincoln, Faith Irwin (Thomas), Autumn Varvel (Nick), Kara Taylor (Casey), Kyle Smith (Michelle DeGerolami), Kursten Robertson (Daniel) and Jean Kovar (Mason Origg) of Big Springs; and his siblings, Billie Brinkman (Henry), Patsy Bollier of Industry, Polly Corbin, Alice Price of Wortham and Johnny Kovar (LeAnne Diab) of Thorndale. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
