With heavy hearts, we announce the death of LaVerne Kunkel of Giddings, Texas, born in Ledbetter, Texas, who passed away on March 6, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ida Loewe Sommer and John Ernst Sommer; her husband Orville Kunkel (Bubba); her son-in-law Bobby; her granddaughter Callie; and her siblings, Dorothy, Joyce and J. E..

She is survived by : her daughters, Brenda Callahan, Deborah (Randy Albert) and Tawana (Donald Mueller); her brother Lyndon; her sister-in-law Betty Sommer; her sister Gloria Reuter; and her grandchildren, Cory, Chad, Casey, Marisa, Chanda and Megan. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
