With sadness, we share the passing of Nellene Eichler Spacek of Giddings, Texas. Nellene, born on May 26, 1938, passed away on September 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Eichler and Nellie Mae Eichler (Sample); her husband E. N. Spacek (Sonny) of Joseph's Catholic Church; her in-laws, Adolph and Johanna Spacek; her siblings, Ruby Peterson (Jean), Georgette Graves and James Eichler; and her siblings-in-law, Peggy Eichler, Vern Peterson and Jack Moody.
She is survived by: her siblings, Arlene Moody (Tootsie) of Pflugerville, Emmett Eichler (Pete) of Baton Rouge, LA. and Lee Roy Eichler of New Braunfels; and her sisters-in-law, Delores Eichler of La Grange, Shannon Eichler of New Braunfels and Monica Spacek of Dime Box.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home - Giddings (3950 E Austin St, Giddings, TX 78942). A prayer was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
