We bid farewell to Alton Steelman of Gilmer, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 12, 2025 at the age of 83. Alton touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, E. C. "Pete" Steelman and Exie Pool Steelman; his siblings, Maevon Blundell, Shirley Williams and Wayne Steelman; and his son-in-law Bradley Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy Steelman; his children, Susan Davis and John Paul "J. P." Steelman (Becky); his grandchildren, Katie-Beth Morton (Sam), James Whittenberg (Rachel), Sydnee Mangini (Chris), Erin Whittenberg, Lauralee Davis (Matthew Flanagan) and Sophia Jurecek (Matthew); and his great grandchildren, Mollie Kate Morton and June Noelle Mangini.
