He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Clemmons Potts, Sr. and Katie Jewell Potts; his sisters, Barbara Potts, Bobbie Mason and Kay O'Bannion; and his grandson Aaron Charter.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Childress Potts; his sister Margaret Peacock (Raymond) of Tyler, Texas; his daughters, Sherry Yard (Don) of Liberty, Denise Burks (Keith) of Ore City and Mary Sue Cole of Ore City, Texas; and his grandchildren, Amber Charter Stafford (Trevor), Lane Burks, Amie Buckland (Jarrod) and Penni Pannell (Justin). He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.
