With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bobby Helpinstill (Gilmer, Texas), born in Rusk, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 11, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Lewis "Jack" Helpinstill and Mary Helpinstill; and his sister Jacque Hopkins. He is survived by: his wife Glenda; his children, Saro (Ty Helpinstill), Sally Helpinstill, Wesley (Corinna Speer) and Clint Speer; his grandchildren, Malachi Mann, MacKenzee Speer, Wyatt Speer, Sadie Mann and Vanessa Speer; and his great grandchild Michael Malachi Mann.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McWhorter Funeral Home (1074 TX-300, Gilmer, TX 75645). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
