Bobby Gene McPeek Obituary
We announce the death of Bobby Gene McPeek of Gilmer, Texas, who passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 99. Bobby will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, W. V. "Jack" McPeek and Bessie Lucille Lang McPeek; his brothers, Charles McPeek and Maurice McPeek; and his grandson Patrick McPeek.
He is survived by: his wife Pat McPeek; his children, Ron McPeek (Gay) and Lisa McPeek Smith (David); his grandchildren, Hannah Smith Burke (Bobby) and Aaron Smith (Jenny); and his great grandchildren, Myla, Joel, Miriam, Lilly and Maddy.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the McWhorter Funeral Home (1074 TX-300, Gilmer, TX 75645). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, stjude.org, or First Baptist Church, 304 Buffalo St., Gilmer, Texas 75644.
