He is survived by: his wife Randlyn Holmes of Gilmer; his children, Ed Holmes (Tammy) of Gilmer and Charlotte Hewitt (David Dorsey); his sister Carolyn Happel of League City; his grandchildren, Courtney DeBord (Josh), Connor Hewitt (Ashtyn), Hayden Holmes, Lyndy Parnell (Rodney), Dustin Benton, Trent Dorsey (Jordan) and Laci Kern (Kyle); and his great grandchildren, Heath Holmes, Jhett DeBord, Hayden Holmes, Lara James Hewitt, Jack Dorsey, Alice Dorsey and Deacon Kern. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
