He was predeceased by: his wife Kuniko Okubo Steelman; his parents, Edgar Doyle Steelman and Estellee Gage Steelman; and his siblings, Bill Steelman, Novelle Green, Jimmy Steelman, Kenneth Steelman and Ann Puig.
He is survived by: his children, Martin Steelman of Nevada, Robert Steelman of Washington State, James Andrew Steelman of Massachusetts and Katherin VanSickel of California; and his siblings, Mike Steelman of Longview, Janice Lyle of Wills Point and Sue Hagler of Ohio. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and in-laws.
